  4.5 Hrs Classroom Theory & 18.5 Hrs On Bike Practical

  •   Basic Curriculum
  •   Classroom preferred to be taken on date PRIOR to on bike
  •   4 Consecutive Evenings generally Mon – Thursday (shifts around holidays and Stampeder games) 

Day 1:  <5:23pm - 10:30pm
Day 2:  5:46pm – 10:30pm
Day 3:  5:46pm – 10:30pm
Day 4:  5:23pm – 10:30pm

 
4.5 Hrs Classroom Theory & 18.5 Hrs On Bike Practical

  •   Classroom preferred to be taken on date PRIOR to on bike
  •   Saturday and Sundays over two consecutive weekends (some alterations around holidays and Stampeder games)

Option1:  Morning Class
Day 1:  8:23am – 1:30pm
Day 2:  8:46am – 1:30pm
Day 3:  8:46am – 1:30pm
Day 4:  8:23am – 1:30pm

Option2:  Afternoon Class
Day 1:  2:00pm – 7:00pm
Day 2:  1:46pm – 6:30pm
Day 3:  1:46pm – 6:30pm
Day 4:  1:46pm – 7:00pm

Course Price:
  $589 + GST 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 16 years of age and hold at least a Class 5-GDL Operator’s License.  Parental waiver will be required for those under the age of minority in Alberta

  • Waiver of Liability. To train on our bikes you will be expected to sign our waiver of liability. While we strive to keep our training as safe as possible and pride ourselves on our safety record, the risk of injury cannot be completely eliminated.
  • Suitable apparel, safety gear.

  • While we provide you with all the gear, you are more than welcome to bring your own so long as it meets our requirements. 
    • The helmet must be a properly fit full-faced DOT approved helmet and your gear must provide armor.  We reserve the right to switch out your gear for ours if it does not meet the minimum requirements for level of protection during your course.
    • Leather boots should cover the ankle and have any laces tucked in to avoid snags and the lower the heel the better. Steel toes and leather-soled cowboy boots are not acceptable footwear
    • A sturdy jacket is a must with denim being the minimum required and motorcycle-grade leather or synthetics being preferred. Jeans are acceptable but leather or textiles are better, however you may also consider Draggin Jeans which can be found at Universal Cycle Services also, home of our official Too Cool mechanic!

  • All safety gear must be worn when riding in our closed course or on the road ride – even if it’s hot!

  • We require you start with or get back on a “pedal bike” before attending our course to practice your balance.  Inability to balance will result in you being sent home as it is a prerequisite.

  • You are required to review the Training Manual with extra focus on shifting.

  • Riding a motorcycle is a sport and learning it from scratch will be both mentally and physically challenging. We will be patient with you and you need to be patient with yourself, you have to want to do it.

  • Please bring water, snacks and dress in layers as the weather can change within your course times.

  • If you are pregnant please do not book a course.
    • If you become pregnant after you book a course please contact our office immediately.

    •   Basic Maintenance Course given by a Red Seal Mechanic
    •   Extended road ride
